Inspired by a son. Built for families. Driven by love and legacy

The Michael Kel Williams Foundation was founded by Michael Williams, a proud graduate of Bethune-Cookman University, where he played Division I basketball all four years (2002–2006), earning First Team All-Conference honors and being named the MEAC Defensive Player of the Year.

Named in honor of Michael’s son, Mykel “Kel” Williams, the foundation is a personal mission to uplift and empower single-parent families — those who often carry the heaviest loads with the fewest resources.

Our work is guided by four pillars of empowerment:

  • Physical Wellness – promoting health and fitness for stronger families

  • Emotional Healing – providing tools for mental health and resilience

  • Financial Literacy – teaching money skills that build real freedom

  • Self-Sufficiency – guiding families toward independence and long-term success

We’re here to help families not just survive — but rise. To break cycles. To build legacy.

The Michael Kel Williams Foundation isn’t just a nonprofit.
It’s a father’s vision. A son’s name. And a commitment to lasting change.
